About the Artist

Joanne and Monica are Voices for Kids Board Members. They painted the chair with this children's rhyme in mind, "Mares eat oats and does eat oats and little lambs eat ivy, a kid'll eat ivy too, wouldn't you?" The ivy theme evolved from there as we thought; this is ultimately about the kids. “We envisioned the chair going in a child's room so put on three durable coats. It would also be beautiful on a lanai or porch, and so painted it using outdoor paints.” --Monica Robb

About the Charity

Voices for Kids helps provide court-appointed Guardian ad Litem volunteers and ensures that financial assistance and other resources are available for kids’ accompanying health, education and social needs.
