Ft. Myers Toyota Hosts ROCK For Charity ROLL With A Ride(TM) Event

Ft. Myers Toyota, “The Family Store,” is co-sponsoring and hosting the ROCK For Charity ROLL With A Ride™ event—a rocking chair marathon contest. Registration begins Saturday September 26th at 1:00 p.m. and runs until October 24 at 11:00 a.m. Semi-finalists will be chosen at random from online entries received during that time. People may also be assisted to register online to ROCK For Charity ROLL With A Ride™, at any Ft. Myers Toyota New Car, Truck, Pre-owned, Service or Collision Center.
The finalists will be chosen from the semi-finalist entrants and the rocking chair contest will begin on Saturday, October 24th. The person who rocks the longest will win a new 2010 Toyota Matrix. One local charity will win a new 2010 Toyota Sienna minivan. The rocking chairs that represent the charity organizations will be assigned randomly to the finalists. This will encourage the maximum amount of public interest.

Pamela Templeton, Vice President of Ft. Myers Toyota, remarks, “We’re kicking the dog days of summer behind us and coming out from under the Cash for Clunker madness doldrums. It is time to move forward! I believe by sharing this promotion with these charitable organizations, it is an ideal way to raise awareness for who they are and what they do. If our community doesn’t know about them, then they can’t help.”
She talks of the needs of the charity organizations and says, “Our Health and Human Service Charity Organizations are deserving of more attention for the great work they do for our community. The needs are endless and the resources are few. We are pleased to be able to step forward in difficult times to do what we can to help and put back the FUN in fundraiser. Each charity has a one in 14 chance to win the 2010 Sienna Van; the final 28 contestants have a 1 in 28 chance of winning the Matrix. Those are great odds! Later in the season, the painted rocking chairs will be auctioned off at another event so that each worthy organization will have another opportunity to benefit from this promotion. Let’s ROCK!”

media kickoff party will be held at the Ft. Myers Toyota Truck Center
on Saturday the 26th at 1:00 p.m. Representatives from each of the 14
charities will be there and be available for interviews.
