FORT MYERS, Florida—March 31, 2010—Ft. Myers Toyota, “The Family Store,” is holding the final reception and celebration for the winning bidders of the online ROCK for Charity, ROLL with a Ride rocking chair auction. The auction itself further benefited the 14 participating health and human service charities involved and ran from November 20, 2009 to February 2, 2010 following the 72-hour ROCK-a-thon.
The reception will be held at the Ft. Myers Toyota Truck Center from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Participants, promotional sponsors and rockers will be gathered to mingle while remembering the excitement and phenomena of the 72-hour ROCK-a-thon.
Says Pamela Templeton, Vice President of Ft. Myers Toyota, “We’re so glad we’ve been able to help out these 14 charities with several events. These charities are in need of our assistance and we feel it’s our civic duty to do what we can to help out and raise awareness. Tonight, we’ll wrap up everything with a big celebration. A great time will be had by all!”
The individual winner of the 72-hour ROCK-a-Thon was Richard Irvin of Southwest Florida who received a brand new 2010 Toyota Matrix. The charity winner was Good Wheels, which received a brand new 2010 Toyota Sienna Minivan.
