FORT MYERS, Florida—March 19, 2010—Pamela Templeton, Vice President of Ft. Myers Toyota, “The Family Store,” is sponsoring the Childrens Lunchbox Series to be held at the historic Sidney and Berne Davis Art Center featuring the Florida Rep’s Alliance for Holocaust Studies production “And Then They Came for Me,” a multimedia journey into the life and world of Anne Frank.

This dramatic experience is designed for families and children in grades five through 12. It seeks to foster awareness of the life of Anne Frank by combining interview footage with live theater. It will take audiences into her life and two other Holocaust survivors whose lives she touched and changed forever.

Says Templeton, "It’s extremely important that we remember people like Anne Frank and what she and others victims of genocide went through. Reading the book, “The Diary of Anne Frank,” was an awakening experience for me in grade school. Her hope and beliefs in the face of such terror touched my heart and it’s important for all of us to learn from her life—to never forget what was lost and to honor them. That’s why we’re proud to be sponsoring this series."

“And Then They Came for Me” will be presented as part of the Lunchbox Theatre Series on March 13, April 3 and April 17 at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center in the Fort Myers River District. Admission costs $12 which includes the performance, a boxed lunch provided by Jason’s Deli and an interactive workshop with the cast. Tickets are available through Florida Rep’s box office by calling (239) 332-4488.

For more information on how to plays like this to your school or venue, please contact Rachael Endrizzi at 239-332-4665 Ext. 20. The Lunchbox Theatre Series is also sponsored by Publix.
