FORT MYERS, Florida—May 5, 2010—Fort Myers Hybrid Car Market is ranked the seventh designated market area (DMA) in the United States in which the most area residents own or lease a hybrid vehicle.

A DMA is an area or region whose population can receive the same or similar television, radio, newspaper and possibly Internet advertising content. DMAs are widely used in measuring audience trends.

This ranking comes from Scarborough Research, a company which performs various research studies on local, regional and national markets in the United States, including automotive trends, retail consumer habits, lifestyle trends and many other categories.
